What Live Illustration Adds to Your Event
Live illustration gives guests something they can watch, take part in and take home. Each portrait is created in the moment, turning the illustration process itself into part of the event experience.
For brands, live art and illustration creates a personal point of connection with guests. Portraits can incorporate fashion, products, colours or campaign details, while personalised artwork can become a memorable keepsake long after the event.
As a London fashion illustrator and experiential artist, I work on live projects ranging from brand activations and product launches to influencer events, PR occasions and private celebrations, creating artwork that feels personal to the guest and relevant to the occasion.

Exploring Live Illustration Styles, Timings & Formats
Explore the different ways live illustration can be adapted to your event, from fast five-minute ink sketches to more detailed three-quarter and full-body fashion portraits, couple illustrations and digital artwork. Examples below show the different timings, media and formats available.
By Composition
Faces & Headshots: Focus on expressive features and fashion styling.
Three-Quarter Illustrations: Captures the upper outfit and styling (without footwear) to balance speed and fashion detail.
Full-Body: Showcases the complete outfit, silhouette, and footwear and jewellery detailing from head to toe.
Couples & Groups: Captures multiple guests together, which can often be streamlined to reduce drawing time efficiently depending on the desired duration and speed.
By Duration & Speed
5-Minute Sketches: Fast, dynamic ink and marker, watercolour paintings and digital sketches in black and white or minimal colour, designed for high-volume guest flow at busy brand activations and parties.
8-Minute Portraits: Standard individual guest artwork balancing expressive style with refined detail.
10-Minute Artwork: Detailed full-body paintings for more intimate VIP experiences. This is my preferred timing for achieving the most detailed result.
By Format & Medium
Traditional Ink & Watercolour: Loose, signature washes and minimalist ink lines on custom-branded paper stock.
Digital Live Illustration: Tablet-based fashion sketches that guests can instantly air-drop or email to their phones, or to a printer for physical copies.
Black and White vs. Colour: Striking monochrome editorial line work versus vibrant colour palettes.

Event Planning & Requirements
What do you need from the venue?
I require a small, well-lit workspace, ideally near guest foot traffic, equipped with a table, two chairs, and access to a power socket if working digitally. For traditional painting, access to a water source nearby is also helpful.
Do you travel outside London?
Yes, while I am based between Leicester and London, I regularly travel across the UK and internationally for luxury brand activations, retail flagships, and private celebrations.
Can the artwork be branded?
Absolutely. All live illustrations and digital templates can be customised with pre-printed brand logos, custom event monograms, or event-specific borders to create a cohesive branded experience.
Can you personalise products?
Yes, beyond paper and digital formats, I specialise in live product customisation, painting directly onto luxury items such as handbags, leather goods, packaging, fragrance bottles, coffee, and apparel.
What types of events do you work at?
• luxury brand activations
• product launches
• PR and influencer events
• private celebrations
• weddings
• corporate events
• retail activations
How far in advance should I book a live illustrator?
It is best to secure your date as early as possible to ensure availability, particularly for London events and larger brand activations that fill up during peak seasons. Most clients reach out anywhere from a few months to a year in advance, especially for weddings and major corporate calendar dates.
However, last-minute slots do occasionally open up, so feel free to check in even if your event is approaching quickly.
How long does each illustration take?
Timings vary depending on the chosen format, typically taking around 5 minutes per person for very light and loose faces or 8 minutes for three-quarter body sketches or more detailed portraits. 10 minutes for full-body illustrations. Couples and groups are slightly quicker than individuals. Requests are bespoke according to your event.
How many guests can you illustrate?
Depending on whether you are opting for traditional watercolour or fast-paced digital sketches, I generally work to requirements making it easy to scale for intimate gatherings or high-capacity brand activations. Further consultation is best, please get in touch.
Do you offer both traditional and digital illustration?
Yes, I do. I am flexible when it comes to medium also, so if you have an unusual request, please get in touch.
