I was the live event illustrator for the launch of the Montblanc x Ferrari Stilema SP3 writing instrument, held at the official Ferrari showroom in Leeds. Drawing on-site, I created personalised portraits that gave VIP guests a tangible keepsake from the evening.

Montblanc x Ferrari: Live Illustration at the Stilema SP3 Launch

The collaboration

The experience

I was commissioned to bring Montblanc's precision and Ferrari's automotive heritage together through live drawing. I used the Montblanc StarWalker Ultra Black to create each portrait, so guests could see the instrument at work first-hand. It was a natural companion to the limited edition Stilema SP3, co-designed by Flavio Manzoni, while my illustrations drew on the design language of the Ferrari Daytona SP3.

I set up a dedicated drawing space in the showroom, and it became a natural gathering point for guests. Every portrait was completed on the spot, so each guest left with a personal memento that carried the evening home with them.

The live illustrations added a distinctive, memorable layer to the launch and deepened guest engagement with both brands. Pairing Montblanc's instruments with bespoke live art made the evening feel cohesive and considered.
